Becoming credit card debt free is only a dream for most people today. What options are there to get free from the obligations?

What would it mean? We’ve all been taught to work at a job probably for forty years and at least 40 hours per week. Why are we working? Usually because we have bills to pay each month. Sometimes there are more bills than there is month. You simply can’t earn enough to pay the bills. Out come the credit cards.

Unfortunately, we were never given the plan to stay as debt-free as possible. Or actually to have debt but have enough cash flow that is not dependent upon working to pay it.

If those were the major debts, how much would it take to pay those bills every month? What if you have that much money coming in each month with no job?

So how can you become credit card debt free? You can use the snowball method and pick out the credit card with the highest interest rate. You simply make minimum payments on any other debt and pay extra each month on the one with the highest interest rate until it is paid off. Then you take the entire amount that you were paying on that credit card and paid it along with the minimum payment on the next credit card. You continue this process until it is gone.

How about paying off your debt at a huge discount? Debt settlement negotiation is a very realistic option to making that happen. With assets that can be liquidated or income to accumulate, you can negotiate a very significant discount. If not, bankruptcy may be an option to reduce or eliminate the debt.
